Meet Loretta
Owner, Principal Designer
Loretta's passion for interior design developed early on. From a young age Loretta found herself helping family and friends design beautiful and functional spaces within their homes. This led her to study at Endicott College in Beverly, Ma where she earned Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Loretta spent the early part of her career working at residential design and architect firms in New England. She loves creating unique but timeless spaces, mixing old and new, and integrating natural materials wherever possible. In 2018, Loretta officially launched Salt Bay Studio from the home she shares with her husband, Trevor and their two fluffy Golden retrievers. (Pippa and Tashmoo) In 2020, while the world was learning to work remotely, Loretta took a different approach and opened her studio located at the Saxonville Mills in Framingham, Ma. This provided the space she needed to grow her team and store the endless amount of samples she admittedly hoards for future projects.
Meet Katie

Katie's background in education brings a keen attention to detail and project management skills to the SBS team. Her home style is comfortable, timeless and everything blue. Meet Shannon
Designer, Director of Marketing
Shannon's love for design was evident as a young girl when she was constantly rearranging and decorating her room. As each school year began it was a time she took to reinvent her space. Shannon later went on to receive a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design. She worked for a large NE based furniture retailer for seven years managing their online content, social media and writing their design blog. This is where her interest in interiors really flourished as she grew her career path further with a certificate in Interior Design. She also spent years as a fine art paint instructor. Shannon's personal style blends muted palettes with bold contrasting moments, all inspired by the colors and textures found in nature. She loves to explore different textiles and patterns to create comfortable lived in spaces. As a busy mom of three little ones, her time in the SB studio is a treat! Shannon loves to spend free time scouring antique stores for a rare find and embarking on DIY renovations alongside her husband. Her dogs name is Barry, a furry friend is a prereq for working at Salt Bay!
Meet Juliane
Design Assistant
Juliane was born and raised in Brazil and graduated with a degree in Architecture and Urbanism in 2017. In 2018 she followed her dreams of new experiences and moved to the United States for an exchange program and shortly after joined MassBay Community College Interior Design program. Juliane has always been very passionate about art and organization. When she's not working, you can find her exploring Boston in search of new eateries as well as traveling to tropical destinations with friends and family. This is what drives her love to explore new textures, colors and materials in her projects.
Kind Words
"We are so grateful that we found Salt Bay Studio. They helped us create the most beautifully decorated and inviting homes over the years – four in total!
SBS makes it a point to get to know you and your personal style. They will work with you to make your space your very own, but better than you could ever do. No matter how big or small the project, they will listen, be professional, supportive, creative, and passionate about their work and your vision.
In our most recent project with Salt Bay Studio, they helped us to design our newly built 4500 square foot home … every room …even down to our finished basement. They made multiple visits to the property as the construction was completing. They spoke with our builder on the design, schedule and process and made sure they knew every detail of each room. They provided layouts, renderings and samples so we really had a good understanding of what the space would look like before it was ever done. Most importantly they understood our dream and cared about making it a reality for us. We couldn't be happier with the process and the end result."
